Hi, I'm Jesse.
I run NOCO TechWorks, a local IT company built on one simple idea: technology should make your life easier, not harder. I've spent nearly two decades fixing real-world IT problems for organizations that cannot afford downtime and for people who just want their tech to work the way it should. I'm not here to sell you jargon or long contracts. I'm here to solve problems, explain what matters, and stand behind my work.
Why I Started NOCO TechWorks
I started NOCO TechWorks because I got tired of watching people get burned by bad IT. Flashy proposals. Confusing invoices. Overbuilt systems that still break. And providers who disappear the moment things get complicated.
I've spent nearly two decades on the inside of IT. Schools. Government. Nonprofits. High-availability environments where downtime is not an option and security actually matters. I've been the person called at 2 a.m. when everything is down. I've crawled under desks. I've rebuilt systems after major failures. I've also had to look executives in the eye and explain why their "quick change" was really a three-day project.
What I learned from all of that is simple: people don't want fancy IT. They want reliable IT. They want someone honest. They want someone who will answer the phone. And they want to know the person working on their systems actually cares.
That's why NOCO TechWorks exists.
The Experience Behind NOCO TechWorks
My career in IT started with hands-on repair and small business support and grew into managing large, regulated, high-availability environments across multiple locations and time zones. Over the years, I've supported everything from classrooms and municipal systems to enterprise-grade infrastructure that handles sensitive data, strict security requirements, and real regulatory oversight.
I've managed core networks, cloud systems, identity platforms, backups, disaster recovery, and security operations. I've worked alongside help desk teams, systems administrators, network engineers, web developers, and AV specialists. And when needed, I've stepped into every one of those roles myself.
Today, I serve in an IT leadership role for an international nonprofit operating mission-critical systems. That means budgeting, vendor management, security planning, compliance, and making sure the technology supports the mission instead of getting in the way.
What that gives my clients is the mindset of an IT department head, not just a break-fix technician. I don't just fix problems. I plan systems, manage vendors, and build IT strategies that support real business goals.

Security & Reliability Philosophy
I specialize in keeping systems secure and boring. Good IT should be invisible. That means firewalls that are actually configured correctly, real offsite backups that work when you need them, and security practices that reduce the chances of ransomware, phishing, and data loss before they turn into disasters.
Most disasters I've seen were preventable. My job is to stop them before they ever happen.
What I Bring to Every Client
- Ownership mindset – When things break, I own the outcome from start to finish.
- Bias for action – Problems get solved, not parked in a ticket queue.
- Tailored solutions – No one-size-fits-all packages. Every environment is different.
- Calm under pressure – When systems are down, I stay focused and keep you informed.
- Clear communication – You'll always understand what's happening and why.
- Security first – Every decision is made with protection, backups, and reliability in mind.
When you work with NOCO TechWorks, you're getting enterprise-level thinking with small-business accountability.
What I've Actually Done
Enterprise IT Management
I manage regulated, high-availability systems that support dozens of users across multiple locations. The goal is simple: keep people working without interruption while maintaining real security and compliance behind the scenes.
Network Architecture
I design and deploy business networks that scale and stay stable. This isn't "plug in a router and hope." It's proper design that still works when the whole office is online at once.
Disaster Recovery & Security Response
I've recovered data from failed systems, rebuilt networks after security incidents, and helped businesses recover from phishing and ransomware attempts. Prevention is always cheaper than recovery, but I know how to handle both.
Real-World Problem Solving
Website outages during peak business season. Compromised email accounts. Remote workers who suddenly can't connect. These are normal days for me. Problems get solved quickly because I stay ahead of them.
Business System Integration
I connect systems that don't naturally talk to each other. Secure logins, automated workflows, and data that moves where it should without someone manually copying it between platforms.
Why Choose NOCO TechWorks Over Larger IT Firms?
Large IT companies give you account managers, ticket systems, and layers of people between you and actual solutions. You get passed around. You repeat yourself. You wait.
With NOCO TechWorks, you get direct access to someone who actually understands your systems and cares about your outcomes. No ticket queues. No call centers. No waiting three days for someone to read your email.
Bottom line:
You get the expertise of an enterprise IT department with the accountability of someone who lives right here in your community. When systems go down, you don't get a ticket number. You get me.
What I'm Good At (And What I'm Not)
What I'm Great At:
- Preventing disasters before they ever reach your inbox
- Making technology work reliably
- Explaining complex problems in plain English
- Responding quickly when things break
- Building systems that scale with your business
- Security that actually protects you
What I'm Not:
- A "set it and forget it" IT company
- The cheapest option
- A faceless call center
- Someone who will just tell you what you want to hear
When NOCO TechWorks Is the Right Fit
You're a good fit for NOCO TechWorks if:
- You're a small business owner who needs IT support but can't justify a full-time hire
- You're tired of IT providers who don't call back
- You want someone who will actually explain what's happening
- You value reliability over flash
- You want a long-term IT partner, not just someone who fixes things when they break
The Stuff That Makes Me Human
My wife Amber and I have lived, worked, and volunteered in Northern Colorado for over 20 years. When I'm not fixing systems, I'm usually spending time outdoors with our dogs or working on home projects.
I genuinely love technology. I just hate when it makes people's lives harder instead of easier.
Who I'm Not the Right Fit For
If you want the cheapest possible option, someone to blindly follow bad ideas, or flashy tech instead of reliable tech, I'm probably not your guy. If you want someone who will tell you the truth and stand behind it, we'll get along just fine.
