Run the App

Once it's downloaded, run the file. Your computer might ask if you're sure—say yes. I promise it's safe.

I'll Give You a Code

When we're on the phone together, I'll read you a 6-digit code. Enter it into the app.

Common Questions

Is this safe?

Yes. RealVNC is industry-standard remote support software used by IT professionals worldwide. I can only connect when you give me the code, and you can disconnect me anytime by closing the program. I'll explain everything I'm doing while I work.

Can you see my personal files?

Technically yes—I can see what's on your screen. But I'm not looking at your personal stuff. I'm focused on fixing your problem. If you want to close any sensitive documents before we connect, that's totally fine.

What if my problem can't be fixed remotely?

I'll tell you. Some things need hands-on work (hardware problems, physical network issues). If that's the case, we'll schedule an on-site visit or you can drop off your equipment.

Do I need to uninstall this when we're done?

Not necessary, but you can if you want. The program won't do anything unless you run it and give someone the code. If you're a managed service client, I recommend keeping it installed for faster future support.

How much does remote support cost?

Same as on-site support: $125-200/hour depending on complexity. Managed service clients get priority remote support included in their monthly package.
